ACCREDITATIONS


 

ACCA

ACCREDITATION FOR THE STUDY PROGRAMMES IN POLISH: ACCOUNTANCY, FINANCES AND ACCOUNTANCY

In 2013, the Faculty of Management of the University of Lodz obtained the accreditation from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Currently, we run two accredited study programmes: one at the BA level (Accountancy) and one at the MA level (Finances and Accountancy; as of 2019 – Accounting and Finance Management). The Faculty's students have the opportunity to start qualifications already in the course of studies as well as to gain exemption from exams and costs.

The ACCA is an international organisation gathering specialists in finances and accountancy. The ACCA qualification was accepted by the United Nations as a global pattern for any international programme of accountancy.

 

IPMA

ACCREDITATION FOR THE STUDY PROGRAMME: MANAGEMENT (IN POLISH), SPECIALISATION: PROJECT MANAGEMENT

In 2015, the Project Management specialisation obtained accreditation from the International Project Management Association Polska (IPMA Poland), which is a part of the international non-profit organisation International Project Management Association®, gathering and certifying Project Managers. Students of the Project Management specialisation realise subjects qualified for the IPMA Student programme. The IPMA-Student certificate constitutes the summation of academic education in project management as well as it is an opjective and recognisable by employers certification of obtained qualifications, which are universal and independent of the sector. It entitles one to use the title of a certified member of the project team within the IPMA project competencies, as well as it significantly increases chances of acquiring a job right after finishing studies.

 

AICPA & CIMA

ACCREDITATION FOR THE STUDY PROGRAMME: MANAGEMENT AND FINANCE

AICPA&CIMAUnder the agreement signed by the Faculty of Management of the University of Lodz and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, we have started the CIMA Programme at the Faculty of Management. The Programme makes it possible for the students of the Management and Finance study programme to acquire the Certificate in Business Accounting as well as obtaining exemption from CIMA exams.

 

EUROPEAN LOGISTICS ASSOCIATION

ACCREDITATION FOR THE STUDY PROGRAMME: LOGISTICS, LOGISTICS IN BUSINESS

The Logistics programme (Logistyka) has successfully passed the international accreditation process for compliance with the standards of the European Logistics Association (ELA). This accreditation will enable future graduates of Logistics to obtain international professional certificates European Junior Logistician and/or European Senior Logistician.

 

 

BLUE PRISM ACADEMIA

ACCREDITATION FOR THE STUDY PROGRAMME: BUSINESS PROCESSES AUTOMATION (BPA) (IN POLISH)

The Business Processes Automation (BPA) study programme was officially accepted to the Blue Prism Academia. This is the first study programme in the region and one of the first ones in Poland that offers students practical knowledge concerning creating robots, as well as the possibility to obtain an international certificate.

Blue Prism is the most often used programme in the Automation Processes Robotisation (RPA), serving to automatise actions with the use of computer programmes. The students of the BPA study programme will participate in an intensive course in the Blue Prism programme. They will be able to confirm the acquired qualifications through passing an international exam and obtaining one of six Blue Prism certificates, namely: Developer, Professional Developer, Solution Designer, ROM Architect, Technical Architect (V6), Installation Engineer (V6).

ACCREDITATION FOR THE STUDY PROGRAMME: BUSINESS MANAGEMENT

In 2021, the Business Management study programme obtained the prestigious American accreditation awarded by the leader of accreditation for programmes in business education – Accreditation Council for Business Education. This accreditation confirms the fulfillment by the University particular requirements concerning effective functioning, the high level of didactics, innovative management, good business relationships, as well as the high value of the diploma, which counts on the labour market.

 

PREDICTIVE SOLUTIONS

ACCREDITATION FOR THE STUDY PROGRAMME: ACCOUNTANCY AND FINANCE MANAGEMENT (IN POLISH), SPECIALISATION: FINANCIAL MANAGER

Logo Predictive SolutionsSince the 2021/2022 academic year, the course 'Introduction to Financial Analyses with the Use IBM SPSS Statistics' was embraced by the system of accreditation of teaching activities Predictive Solutions (previously: SPSS Poland). This course is conducted on the full-time studies at the Faculty of Management; the study programme: Accountancy and Finance Management; specialisation: Financial Manager. It is run by Dorota Starzyńska, PhD, and Marta Baraniak, PhD, and it encompasses 16 hours of practical tutorials with the PS IMAGO PRO/IBM SPSS Statistics programme. In accordance with the Terms and Conditions of the System of Accreditation and Certification Predictive Solutions, all students participating in the accredited classes will – after completing the class with the good grade (minimum) – obtain the SPSS Technology Junior Expert certificate under the auspices of the IBM Poland.

THE POLISH ACCREDITATION COMMITTEE (PKA)

The Faculty of Management was evaluated as outstanding by The Polish Accreditation Committee (PKA) responsible for the improvement of the quality of education in higher education institutions. It is the highest assessment meaning that the unit provides an excellent standard of education, delivers new study programmes and enhances its co-operation with business and institutions.

THE MINISTRY OF SCIENCE AND HIGHER EDUCATION'S EVALUATION

The Ministry of Science and Higher Education granted the Faculty a “B+” category, indicating the scientific potential and prestige of the unit.

RANKINGS


 

"PERSPEKTYWY" RANKING

Logo Rankingu PerspektywyThe Ranking of Study Programmes is an annual rating of the most popular fields of study. Criteria such as prestige, economic success of graduates, didactic, academic and scientific potential as well as internationalization are assessed. In the "Perspektywy 2023" Ranking of Study Programmes, Management ("Zarządzanie") took 12th place, while Finance and Accounting ("Finanse i Rachunkowość") took 10th place.

 

EDUNIVERSAL RANKING

In 2022, the Faculty of Management of the University of Lodz was among the 7 universities from Poland on the Eduniversal Selected list. The factors that were assessed icluded: innovative projects, growing potential, as well as new and significant energy.
